One Arlington restaurant closed, reopened next day in latest round of health inspections

One Arlington restaurant was closed by the city when health inspectors made visits to businesses between Aug. 14 and Sept. 13, according to data from the city compiled by the Star-Telegram.

Temptations Lounge at 3701 Cooper St. was closed when the inspectors visited on Aug. 30. The city did not say what led to the closure. It was reopened the next day.

The business on Aug. 30 received a score of 90, only 10 points away from a perfect score, but was closed anyway, according to data from the city.

Thao Vy Cafe at 1115 E. Pioneer Parkway was reopened Aug. 29, though city data does not indicate the restaurant ever underwent an inspection in which inspectors made the determination that they needed to shut down operations for health code violations.

Two restaurants scored 75 or less, meaning they had to undergo follow-up inspections. Frish Kabob LLC, at 3115 S. Cooper St., failed its inspection with a score of 58 on Aug. 17 and passed a reinspection on Aug. 23. Pancho Tacos Inc. scored 74 on Aug. 17.

There were no perfect scores among the 151 restaurants inspected.

Here are the inspection scores and violations for restaurants within the city limits of Arlington for Aug. 14th - Sept. 3rd, 2022. A score of 100 is a perfect score and 70 is considered to be extremely poor. Reinspections will be conducted for restaurants that score 75 or less. If serious health and sanitation violations are considered an imminent health hazard, the restaurant will be closed until the identified health hazard has been mitigated.
