A roach infestation led a Mexican restaurant to be closed down for two days as Arlington health inspectors visited 100 restaurants between June 12 and June 18, according to data from the city compiled by the Star-Telegram.

Guadalajara Mariscos at 1004 E. Division St. was closed on June 15 and June 16 because of a roach infestation in the kitchen area, according to a city spokesperson.

The restaurant was allowed by the city to reopen on June 17.

Three other restaurants scored poorly and will have to undergo a second round of followup inspections after already having one followup, according to city records.

The Tipsy Oak at 301 E. Front St. scored a 73; China King Super Buffet at 4515 Matlock Road also scored a 73; and Asian Buffet at 944 E. Copeland Road scored a 75.

In Arlington, a score of 100 is considered perfect. A score of 75 or less requires a followup inspection and anything below 70 is considered extremely poor.

Here are the inspection scores and violations for restaurants within the city limits of Arlington for June 12th - June 18th, 2022. A score of 100 is a perfect score and 70 is considered to be extremely poor. Reinspections will be conducted for restaurants that score 75 or less. If serious health and sanitation violations are considered an imminent health hazard, the restaurant will be closed until the identified health hazard has been mitigated.
