No Tarrant County restaurants need followup health inspections; 2 have repeat violations

While two of the restaurants visited by Tarrant County health inspectors from April 10 to April 16 were warned about repeat health code offenses, none of the 61 food service establishments did poorly enough to warrant follow-up inspections, according to data from the county compiled by the Star-Telegram.

The county inspects all restaurants in its jurisdiction except those in the cities of Fort Worth, North Richland Hills, Euless and Arlington, all of which conduct their own inspections. A score of zero is perfect in county inspections and restaurants that score higher than 29 are required to undergo an unscheduled followup inspection soon after the original.

Inspectors said A&D Buffalo at 4005 East Belknap in Haltom City had repeated problems with food not being kept at safe temperatures, and Mariscos La Marea at 4033 East Belknap in Haltom City was found to be improperly thawing fish after it had already received demerits in another inspection for doing the same thing.

Inspectors awarded perfect scores to 20 restaurants and food service businesses during the inspections. Those results can be found in the interactive chart below.

Here are the inspection scores and violations for restaurants that Tarrant County Public Health (TCPH) inspected for April 10th - April 16th, 2022. TCPH inspects and scores all restaurants in Tarrant County except for those located in Fort Worth, Arlington, Euless and North Richland Hills. Scores are based on a demerit system. When the total exceeds 29, a follow-up inspection is required. To search the restaurant inspections, type in a keyword or restaurant name. You can also sort by score.
