Are you looking to make every day Taco Tuesday? Well, this might be your chance to turn a dream into a reality.

Food delivery service Favor is seeking a hungry and social media savvy applicant to be their Chief Taco Officer, a role where they would travel across Texas looking for the best tacos. Favor was founded in Austin in 2013 and is available in over 130 Texas cities.

You might be thinking that there’s a catch, but Favor promises the job is real and their hope is to highlight the best tacos Texas has to offer. Here’s how to apply and the benefits of the job, besides free tacos:

What is my role as Chief Taco Officer?

In the role, you will travel across Texas going city-to-city trying tacos from different restaurants.

The tacos will be delivered by Favor during two meal times, either breakfast and lunch or dinner, and after the taste-testing it’s up to you to review and document your findings. Favor is footing the bill for all accommodations for travel, lodging and wellness activities.

The Chief Taco Officer will spend two days in each city and as long as they get tacos delivered from Favor at those two meal times, they’re free to do whatever they please in the meantime. Throughout each stay, Favor is asking for photos, written journal entries and videos, to share with its social media team and on your own channels.

What do I get for being the Chief Taco Officer?

Besides free tacos, Favor has laid out what you will receive if you’re chosen for the role:

  • $10,000 for the duration of your role.
  • Free food and accommodations, such as travel and lodging.
  • Free Favor delivery for a year along with customized swag.

How do I apply and how long does the job last?

Interested applicants have to be a Texas resident and 21 or older to apply.

Favor is looking for someone who is social media savvy and has experience with platforms like Instagram, Twitter and TikTok. The person also needs be comfortable in front of a camera and an adventurous eater, as not all tacos will be full of beans and cheese.

Applicants have to create a video that’s one minute or less and post it to their social media channels, explaining why they deserve the job. After posting and tagging Favor using the hashtag, #FavorDreamJob, you have to fill out an application on their website.

The deadline to apply is May 12, with the job beginning in June and ending on July 31. A full list of terms and conditions can be found on Favor’s website.
