Arlington restaurant’s bar temporarily closed in health inspection; 10 others need followup

CORRECTION: Arlington city records show that the bar at a TGI Fridays temporarily closed after a health inspection. The restaurant did not close.

The bar at an Arlington TGI Fridays was temporarily shut down last week for violations found in a recent health inspection, according to city records.

The bar at the chain restaurant, located at 1524 N. Collins St., scored an 86 on a 100-point system, where 100 is a perfect score and 70 and below is considered to be extremely poor.

The bar was closed March 23 and reopened two days later, according to city records. The violations that led to its closure were not accessible through the inspection database.

The TGI Fridays restaurant passed its inspection on March 23 with a score of 82 and did not require a followup, according to the records. The restaurant did not close.



Of 69 inspections from March 20 through March 26, 10 restaurants required followup inspections. Two restaurants during that period scored below a 75 — BFF Asian Grill and Sports Bar, located at 2150 E. Lamar Blvd., which scored a 71; and the Circle K located at 2525 Brown Blvd., which scored a 74.

Both establishments that scored below a 75 passed their followup inspections.

The following restaurants and other businesses that sell food also required followups and passed upon their second inspection:

  • Boston’s the Gourmet Pizza Restaurant & Sports Bar, 2501 E. Lamar Blvd., with a score of 88

  • CVS Pharmacy #7624, 1800 Brown Blvd., with a score of 87

  • Good Day Cafe, 6204 S. Cooper St., with a score of 76

  • Asian Bowl, 285 Southwest Plaza, with a score of 78

  • 7-Eleven Convenience Store #36312A, 2101 E. Lamar Blvd., with a score of 81

  • Pancho Tacos Inc., 629 W. Pioneer Parkway, with a score of 93

  • Quiktrip #857, 2425 W. Division St., with a non-scored follow-up

  • Subway, 1001 NE Green Oaks Blvd., with a non-scored follow-up

Here are the inspection scores and violations for restaurants within the city limits of Arlington for March 20th - 26th, 2022. A score of 100 is a perfect score and 70 is considered to be extremely poor. Reinspections will be conducted for restaurants that score 75 or less.
