One Fort Worth restaurant had bugs or pests during its health inspection
One Fort Worth restaurant had insects or pests inside the building when city health inspectors came by in one of the 62 inspections conducted from March 13 to March 19, prompting a requirement to show proof of pest control service within 48 hours, according to data from the city compiled by the Star-Telegram.
Los Paisanos Restaurant Y Taqueria at 1445 N. Main St. received a score of 34 demerits in its March 16 inspection, with pests or insects found along with improperly stored food including potentially hazardous food stored in cold storage without proper date marking, unapproved equipment being used in the kitchen and holes in the walls and ceiling of the kitchen, according to notes from inspectors.
In Fort Worth, a zero is a perfect score on a restaurant health inspection. Scores 30 or higher require restaurants to fix the worst problems immediately and clean up the rest within 48 hours. When pests are found inside a restaurant, that restaurant is also required to show proof it had pest control services at the facility within 48 hours.
One restaurant scored a 15 in its followup inspection.
Super Pollo, located at 805 N. Sylvania Ave., scored a 27 in its March 9 inspection. On March 18, inspectors returned to the restaurant and gave it an improved score of 15.
Three restaurants received perfect scores in their inspections: Bottled Blonde at 1000 Foche St., Rachel’s Mediterranean Grill at 2801 Heritage Trace Parkway and Torchy’s Tacos at 3545 Lone Star Circle.
