2 Arlington restaurants scheduled for followups after poor scores in health inspections

No Arlington restaurants were closed by the city in the 79 health inspections conducted from March 6 to March 12, but two will have to undergo followup inspections, according to data from the city compiled by the Star-Telegram.

Dairy Queen at 508 W. Randol Mill Road scored a 71 on March 11, and Tactical Kitchen at 2800 Forestwood Drive scored a 73 on March 8.

In Arlington, restaurants are scored on a scale of 0 to 100, with 100 being perfect, anything 75 or below requiring a followup inspection and anything below 70 considered extremely poor. The city does not include a list of problems found at restaurants in the basic information it releases.

Four restaurants received perfect scores: Shawarma King Lebanese Grill at 2208 S. Fielder Road on March 10; Live! Arena and Sports and Social Arlington, both at 1650 E. Randol Mill Road on March 9; and Cookies by Design at 2131 N. Collins St. on March 9. Watermill Express, which sells water and ice at 2302 S. Collins St, also received a perfect score.

Here are the inspection scores and violations for restaurants within the city limits of Arlington for March 6th - 12th, 2022. A score of 100 is a perfect score and 70 is considered to be extremely poor. Reinspections will be conducted for restaurants that score 75 or less. If serious health and sanitation violations are considered an imminent health hazard, the restaurant will be closed until the identified health hazard has been mitigated.
