Check which school cafeterias received perfect scores in the latest Tarrant inspections

Out of 135 inspections, one Tarrant County restaurant received over 29 demerits between Nov. 1-5, according to city data compiled by the Star-Telegram.

In Tarrant County inspections, establishments receiving over 29 demerits require a follow-up inspection. County-wide inspection reports cover all areas except for Fort Worth, Arlington, Euless and North Richland Hills.



Chuy’s Mexican Restaurant on 5115 NE 28th Street, Haltom City received 39 demerits on Nov. 4 for dried food on a can opener blade, failure to sanitize wiping cloths and improper thawing procedures.

There were 48 perfect scores reported in the latest inspection report, which included several area elementary, middle and high schools.

Here are the inspection scores and violations for restaurants that Tarrant County Public Health (TCPH) inspected for the week of Nov. 1st - 5th, 2021. TCPH inspects and scores all restaurants in Tarrant County except for those located in Fort Worth, Arlington, Euless and North Richland Hills. Scores are based on a demerit system.
