This new restaurant is ramblin’ into the Near Southside in Fort Worth by March

The Near Southside district is getting a new restaurant this spring.

Southside Rambler will be moving into the space formerly occupied by La Zona on Magnolia Avenue. The restaurant will feature a menu inspired by roadside joints in West Texas. It includes burgers, sandwiches, salads and 40 beers on tap. And it will serve brunch, too.

The restaurant will also have an outdoor patio that will be an entertainment venue for local musicians during the week. It can also be reserved for private parties.

Kevin and Julia von Ehrenfried are the owners and operators for Southside Rambler.

“We were thrilled at the opportunity to get our hands on this space and breath fresh life into it,” Kevin von Ehrenfried said in a news release. “The atmosphere is going to be second to none, but we can’t wait to bring our menu and service to the Southside.”

Southside Rambler will open in March.
