Heim is expanding to Dallas. The BBQ favorite is opening a third location this summer.
All the best things in this world come from Fort Worth and eventually find their way to Dallas. It’s a known fact.
The latest to follow in this age-old trend is Heim Barbecue.
Dallas is getting the third ever Heim Barbecue location at 3130 W. Mockingbird Lane, across the street from Love Field Airport. The company announced it via Facebook on Monday.
Heim Barbecue started as a food truck five years ago with husband and wife team Travis and Emma Heim. It quickly became a phenomenon among foodies and good food lovers in general, then became a permanent fixture on Magnolia.
Just last year, Heim opened its second location in the River District, and now Emma and Travis are bringing their bacon burnt ends eastward toward Dallas.
According to the Dallas Morning News, Heim will be moving into a space that was once occupied by Mockingbird Diner, which closed last June. The new barbecue spot will open in June 2020.
