Pies in the Buttermilk Sky: The shopping center at Ridglea Village is getting a sweet new tenant

After years of zeroing in on the city, Buttermilk Sky is finally setting up shop in Fort Worth.

Weitzman announced Tuesday that Buttermilk Sky Pie Shop signed a lease to open a location in Ridglea Village, the retail center at 6040 Camp Bowie Blvd. It’s the same center anchored by La Madeleine.

Buttermilk Sky Pie Shop is a chain of homemade pie bakeries, serving sweet treats in the Southern tradition. The menu features classics like apple and key lime while offering other creations like the I-40 — a combination of pecans, chocolate chips, toasted coconut and pecan pie filling. All pies are available in three different sizes: nine-inch, four-inch and two-inch.

The Buttermilk Sky location in Ridglea Village is the first in Fort Worth, but not the first in Tarrant County. Arlington, Colleyville and Mansfield already have Buttermilk Skies.

No date has been set for opening.
