We can assume a lot of people feel the same way about names that mean flower by looking at data from the U.S. Social Security Administration (SSA).

For example, the name Violet, which refers to both the color and flower, was the 16th most popular girl’s name in the United States in 2023 when it was given to 6,342 baby girls.

Violeta and Violette also ranked inside the SSA’s top 1,000 that year.
