Fort Worth baker Elizabeth Rowe to appear on Food Network
Fort Worth-based baker Elizabeth Rowe will get some national exposure Monday, when she appears on Food Network’s Cake Wars.
Rowe, a London-born baker who moved to Texas almost a decade ago and bakes under the name The London Baker, will compete against three other bakers from around the country for a grand prize of $10,000 in an episode titled “Charlie Brown’s All-Stars.”
The episode description says that Lindsey Schulz, granddaughter of Peanuts creator Charles Schulz, will be one of the guest judges.
Rowe recently displayed some of her edible art at Dallas Comic Con: Fan Days — dig that creepy Alien cake! — and has been crafting eye-popping confections for years. See the video below for a fire-breathing creation she made four years ago.
