Temaki Sushi, the 5-year-old restaurant near the western end of the Magnolia Avenue strip, is now Nha Trang Vietnamese Cuisine.

Temaki Sushi announced its closing on Facebook after its Jan. 30 dinner service. On Feb. 6, the Nha Trang Facebook page announced a series of soft-opening services.

A grand opening had been scheduled for Friday (Feb. 12) but has been pushed back because of a delay in putting the new sign on the building (the Temaki sign was still up as of late Thursday afternoon).

But the soft-opening services will continue. The meat/shrimp-heavy menu is focused on noodle entrees, rice and crepe entrees, and banh mi as well as about a dozen appetizers.

Temaki Sushi opened in early 2011, starting out as a fast-casual restaurant and then expanding its menu in 2012. But although the small restaurant received a lot of praise, it never seemed to have the visibility of Shinjuku Station toward the other end of Magnolia.

Nha Trang is a Vietnamese coastal resort city, described by travel website Lonely Planet as “a party town at heart.”

For updates on the restaurant, follow it on Facebook. H/T 360 West magazine, which shared Temaki’s announcement on its Facebook page.
