Kristin Dickerson, most recently with ABC affiliate KTUL in Tulsa, will join KXAS/Channel 5 as a weekend-anchor in June, NBC 5 confirms.

Dickerson is scheduled to start with the station on July 5 and will fill a weekend-evening anchor slot vacated by Amanda Guerra, who left in late March after nearly five years with the station. Like Guerra, Dickerson will do field reporting as well as anchoring for the station.

On her KTUL bio, Dickerson says that she started at KTUL in 2004 as a college intern and had worked nearly every on-air position and schedule shift. In 2011, she writes, she started learning how to shoot and edit her own projects.

She’s reported on such diverse topics as football tailgate parties, the NBA Finals and Dancing With the Stars, and sounds game for just about anything, having ridden bulls, skydived, scuba-dived, rappelled off of high-rise buildings, traveled to India three times, and competed against William Shatner in a charity event.

Dickerson’s last day at KTUL is June 10, but the station has already announced her departure on-air.

Here’s a recent example of her work.
