Report: Veteran reporter Arezow Doost leaving CBS 11

Arezow Doost, who has been with KTVT/Channel 11 since 2008, has left the station, local-media blogger Ed Bark reports on his “Uncle Barky’s Bytes” site.

“Doost, who is on maternity leave after having her second child in November, has decided to leave the station and relocate to Austin,” Bark reports. “Her husband, Kevin Peters, recently began a job in Austin as a digital producer for IBM.”

Doost also announced the departure Friday morning via Twitter.

CBS 11 director of communications Lori Conrad confirmed Doost’s departure to Bark and said that Doost will not be returning to the station for any final goodbyes.

Doost’s bio has already been removed from the station’s website, but according to a talent-agency bio, she has been with CBS and corporate sibling KTXA/Channel 21 since July 2008. Bark reports that she started as a free-lancer and signed on full time in 2010. The UT-Austin grad has also worked at stations in Austin and Corpus Christi.

Doost is the second CBS 11 reporter to announce a departure within the past couple of weeks. Last Friday, Elizabeth Dinh announced via Twitter that she was leaving to take a gig at KPTV in Portland, Ore. Dinh’s last day with the station will be Feb. 21.
