Fort Worth retro-R&B singer Leon Bridges, who burst on the music scene this year with his album Coming Home, is set to have a new track in the next Will Smith film. His song So Long will be part of the soundtrack for the movie Concussion which will be in theaters Christmas day.

But you don’t have to wait that long to hear the track. It will be made available on iTunes, Spotify and Amazon on Nov. 20. Bridges has posted 15 seconds of the song on his Instagram page at @leonbridgesofficial.

In a release, the film’s director, Peter Landesman said, “I’m so glad to have Leon’s music in the movie. His songs are a shot straight from the heart, full of feeling and emotion, power and heartbreak. And it’s a perfect match for the movie, because I could describe Dr. Bennet Omalu the same way – in the movie, he’s a spiritual person, standing up on his own against a world of powerful forces, using only his smarts, his courage, and the knowledge that he’s right. Leon’s soulful sound and expressive words are a tremendous addition to the film.”

Concussion, which in addition to Smith features Luke Wilson, Alec Baldwin, Albert Brooks, Stephen Moyer (True Blood), and Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Belle, Beyond the Lights), is based on the true story of the neuropathologist Omalu who discovered the effects of football-related trauma on the brain.
