Fab or flub? Bobbi Brown’s new concealer, corrector promises to erase dark circles

Suffer from dark circles under the eyes? Then you are probably aware that trying to conceal them can be quite a process, and a futile one, too.

No matter how much foundation and concealer you apply, those pesky dark circles often remain visible and leave your face looking tired and old.

To help combat this evilness, Bobbi Brown Cosmetics has developed a new version of an original concealer and corrector combo to lighten, brighten and even out the skin tone under your eyes.

Available at Nordstrom for $40 each, the Intensive Skin Serum Corrector and Concealer products contain skin-boosting ingredients like Cordyceps mushroom, Indian tree root and bamboo grass.

These special ingredients reportedly work in tandem to combat the main causes of dark circles — including aging and excess pigmentation. If applied daily, the corrector and concealer should leave your eyes looking brighter and more refreshed than before.

First impression

One thing I find frustrating about cosmetics is that they sometimes aren’t available in multiple skin tones. It seems like it can’t possibly be very good if the same shade can be used by everyone.

Fortunately, I found this wouldn’t be a worry with Bobbi Brown’s Intensive Skin Serum Concealer and Corrector. Both the corrector and concealer are available in a wide range of shades, making them suitable for just about every complexion.

Applied with a doe-foot applicator, both the corrector and concealer go on smoothly, and they are lightweight and nongreasy, too, which means layering them is not an issue.

I used powder to set the corrector and concealer, and I didn’t see any indication that the products were settling into the tiny lines under my eyes.

Fab or flub?

Fab! Based on my experience, I’d say bright eyes are no longer just a dream.
