Buc-ee's Is Opening 15 New Road-Trip Mega Stops Across America
Buc-ee's, home of the "world's friendliest beaver," will add 15 new locations across states like Florida, Texas, and Tennessee. The massive gas stations claiming to be home to the "cleanest bathrooms in America" will join 55 locations across 12 states.
The chains opened in the early 1980s in Texas and have since become a sort of tourist trap associated with everything Americana. Locations sell barbecue, kitschy home goods in camo and Hunter Orange, and of course, merch emblazoned with the store's cartoonish beaver mascot.
Locations can stretch up to 74,000 square feet, with the 15 new ones opening by 2031. Below, you'll find the list of stores organized by opening date.
- San Marcos, Texas: August 12
- Benton, Arkansas: August 17
- Murfreesboro, Tennessee: November 16
From there, Buc-ee's does not provide specific dates, only a year for its new locations. The following will arrive in 2027:
- Ruston, Louisiana
- Kansas City, Kansas
- Gallaway, Tennessee
- St. Lucie, Florida
- Boerne, Texas
- Monroe County, Georgia
Two will open in 2028:
- Mebane, North Carolina
- Lafayette, Louisiana
Another four will open in 2029-2031:
- Ocala, Florida, 2029
- West Memphis, Arkansas, 2029
- Oak Grove, Kentucky, 2029
- Hardeeville, South Carolina, 2031
Buc-ee's most recent expansion is in Phoenix, marking its first location both in the Southwest and in Arizona. "We could not have picked a better location for our first store in the Grand Canyon state. Perfectly placed for our road-trippers headed out to California or coming in for the destination-rich Phoenix area, Goodyear will be the place to stop," said Stan Beard of Buc-ee's. The new location marks the 56th location. Soon, plenty more will be on the way.
