Black Labrador Carrying a Peanut Butter Jar Like She Won the Lottery Is Too Cute

If dogs could vote for their favorite treat, peanut butter would be at the top of the list. So imagine being a Black Labrador handed a jar all your own-talk about sending a pup straight to hog heaven.

Poppy's mom decided to give her a special treat, and while it's hard to put into words just how much she loved it, the TikTok video makes it pretty clear. The Black Labrador was basically a kid in a candy store, proudly carrying her new prized possession around the house and showing it off to anyone who would look.

As sweet Poppy carried her peanut butter jar from room to room, her tail wagged a little faster with each step. Her eyes say it all-it's pure joy. But I do have to wonder how long the Black Lab paraded around with the container before finally settling down to enjoy her treat.

Can Dogs Have Peanut Butter?

According to PetMD, yes, dogs can have peanut butter in moderation. They suggest, "The best peanut butter for dogs has all-natural ingredients and no artificial sweeteners or preservatives."

It's important to make sure the product you give your favorite four-legged friend doesn't contain xylitol, an artificial sweetener often used as a sugar substitute. Many brands of peanut butter are considered safe for your pet, and experts advise checking the list of ingredients just to be sure.

Many people question whether peanut butter is good for dogs, and PetMD says, "Peanut butter is a good source of protein for both humans and dogs, but it contains a lot of oils and fat that may not make it a good part of a healthy diet for your dog."

Dogs show their families so much love and kindness, so giving them a small treat that brings them this much joy is such an easy way to make them feel extra special.
