Jelly Roll bringing limited tour to SPAC

Jelly Roll, the rapper-turned-country star, announced a limited city headline tour headed to Saratoga Springs.

"The Little ASS Shed" tour, with support from Kashus Culpepper, will play Saratoga Performing Arts Center on June 18. Jelly Roll last played the area in 2024, when he performed for a sold-out crowd at MVP Arena.

The tour announcement comes on the heels of a big year for the rapper-turned-breakout country music star. At the 2026 Grammys, Jelly Roll won three awards for or Best Country Duo/Group Performance for "Amen" with Shaboozey, Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song for "Hard Fought Hallelujah" with Brandon Lake and Best Contemporary Country Album for "Beautifully Broken." He is also embarking on a "The BIG ASS Stadium Part 2" national tour with Post Malone this year

Jelly Roll is the childhood nickname of Jason DeFord. He began writing and recording hip-hop mixtapes as a troubled teen in Nashville; he would pass out CDs while selling drugs, per a 2024 CBS interview. His first arrest was at age 14 in 1998, then he spent the following decade in and out of jail for drug and robbery charges. Jelly Roll testified in front of Congress to support anti-fentanyl legislation in 2024.

Jelly Roll continued writing music in his cell between 1998 and 2008, and found minor success as a rapper in 2010. His pivot to country in 2020 became his mainstream breakthrough with the single "Save Me."

Tickets for "The Little ASS Shed" tour go on sale at 11 a.m. Friday via Ticketmaster. For more information visit spac.org.
