Places to go: Nature-friendly activities in DFW

▪ Attend River Legacy Living Science Center’s Earth Day celebration, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday. Activities include nature hikes, animal explorations, story time with the Arlington Public Library, games and more. Kids can plant wildflower chia pets, create art from recycled materials and study snakes and turtles. ▪ Take a stroll along the fossil-rich Caprock Trail with a naturalist at 1 or 2 p.m. Saturday at the Fort Worth Nature Center and Refuge. ▪ The Botanical Research Institute of Texas and the city of Fort Worth are selling 50-gallon Ivy rain barrels to North Texas residents at a reduced price of $72.50 through April 18.
