It’s hot, but don’t tell nature to take a hike just yet
▪ Weekly trail running with Jason Tamblyn will be at 8 a.m. Saturday on the sandy trails of the Bob Jones Nature Center. The trail running club sessions are free after a $10 annual membership fee. Call 817-491-6333 to register.
“Gardening With the Masters,” an ongoing program with Tarrant County master gardeners, will be 9-11 a.m. Saturday at the Bob Jones Nature Center. Dress for work outdoors. The master gardeners will answer questions and share advice.

▪ Guided nature hikes will continue this summer, beginning at 10 a.m. Saturdays, at the Fort Worth Nature Center and Refuge. It’s $5 plus admission ($2-$5), free for members.

▪ Ray Rentschler will talk about “Living With Arlington’s Wildlife” at 7 p.m. Tuesday at a meeting of the Friends of Southwest Nature Preserve in the Community Room, West Arlington Police Station, 2060 W. Green Oaks Blvd., in Arlington. Rentschler is the field operations administrator at Animal Services in Arlington.
