Nature-friendly places to go in DFW starting Aug. 27
▪ Master naturalist George McBride will talk about hummingbirds at a workshop for adults, 10 a.m.-noon Aug. 27 at the River Legacy Living Science Center, 703 N.W. Green Oaks Blvd., Arlington. It’s free, but register by calling 817-860-6752. riverlegacy.org.
▪ Kids and caregivers can learn about egrets and herons during a program and hike, 1-2 p.m. Aug. 27, at the Fort Worth Nature Center and Refuge. At 11 a.m. Sunday, amateur photographers can learn about identifying and photographing wildflowers. Bring a camera and a field guide
