Universal Kids Resort isn’t open yet, but it’s already got Google reviews
An online reviewer recently raved about “no lines” at the new Universal Kids Resort in Frisco. But wait – the park hasn’t opened yet.
For a theme park that has yet to exist, North Texans sure do have a lot to say about it. As of Monday, May 11, more than 90 Google reviews have been left about Universal Kids Resort. It’s mostly excitement for the upcoming opening, but there is also some concern for the traffic that the park may bring. The park has a 4.4 rating on Google Reviews as of May 11.
Universal Kids Resort will be located off the Dallas North Tollway near the Omni PGA Frisco Resort and Spa. The City of Frisco is investing more than $200 million on roadway construction to the city’s northern corridor to accommodate the park.
Besides the local opinion on traffic, people are wondering: when will it open?
When will Universal Kids Resort open in North Texas?
Universal Kids Resort is expected to open this year. An exact opening date has not been announced. The Star-Telegram has reached out to Universal for comment.

DreamWorks’ Puss in Boots Del Mar will have carnival games and the opportunity to meet with the cat himself and other characters from “Puss in Boots: The Last Wish.”
In the Illumination’s Minions vs. Minions: Bello Bay Club portion, families will be entertained by the Minion’s fight against their purple counterparts.
Jurassic World Adventure Camp will feature newly hatched baby dinosaurs and several look out towers to enjoy a view of the whole resort.
More play areas will be in DreamWorks’ TrollsFest as well as the opportunity to meet the colorful “Trolls” stars, Poppi, Branch and more.
And finally, more water parks and characters will be in Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants Bikini Bottom.
“Life in DFW can be quite boring for families. No wonderful beaches, no beautiful mountain, cars everywhere, very noisy air traffic,” one reviewer named Leti wrote in a Google review. “I hope this park or another one like Disney could make a dreamy day more affordable for the millions of people who call DFW home.”
