Southlake’s Art in the Square festival is this weekend. Here’s what to expect.

Southlake’s nationally recognized Art in the Square is Friday through Sunday and will benefit more than two dozen Tarrant County charities and organizations.

The Southlake Women’s Club hosts the juried fine art festival with works from 150 artists, as well as a youth art exhibition. The weekend’s free events in Southlake Town Square include children activities, food vendors and live music with a headlining country music concert Saturday evening.

What to know about Southlake Art in the Square 2026

Kathy Talley, a Southlake City Council member who serves in the women’s club, said it takes around 1,000 volunteers to put on the festival.

“What started out as a local fundraiser has grown into a nationally recognized art festival,” Tally said in a video played at the April 7 council meeting. “The very first event welcomed a few thousand visitors. Today, that number has grown to well over 40,000 and attendance continues to climb each year as people gather to experience our wonderful event.”

This year, 26 organizations serving women, children and families are beneficiaries of the festival proceeds. They include programs for food and other essentials, summer camp, home repairs for seniors, equine therapy for children, youth drug education and holiday gifting.

In 25 years, Art in the Square has given over $3.5 million to 78 charities, according to the Southlake Women’s Club Foundation.

This year, Southlake is celebrating its 70th year by planting 2,026 trees, and 200 saplings will be given away during Art in the Square.
