‘Lioness’ to close Fort Worth’s West Lancaster Avenue bridge for filming
Taylor Sheridan’s “Lioness” is closing a bridge in Fort Worth Monday, March 23.
The Paramount+ series began production on its third season in Cowtown in October 2025. The show has already filmed in and around the city, including in north Fort Worth at SGS Studios, in downtown at Wicked Butcher and in the University West neighborhood near TCU.
Parts of West Lancaster Avenue, and the West Lancaster Avenue bridge, will be impacted by filming on Monday, March 23.
This is a different closure from the one “Lioness” has planned for University Drive on Tuesday, March 24, and Wednesday, March 25. Here’s what to know.
‘Lioness’ to close bridge in Fort Worth
“Lioness” is closing West Lancaster Avenue between University Drive and Summit Avenue on Monday, according to a city street use permit.
That stretch of Lancaster will be fully closed from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday. In addition, there are a few other closures during the same day and time:
- Two lane closure on West Lancaster Avenue between Summit Avenue and Henderson Street
- Full street closure on Norwood Street between Bledsoe Street and West Lancaster Avenue
- Full street closure on Currie Street between Bledsoe Street and West Lancaster Avenue
“Lioness” is filming driving scenes on that day.
Fort Worth police will be on-site to facilitate traffic and all local residents/businesses will have access to their properties at all times, per the permit. Once filming wraps, traffic operations will return to normal.
