Blink-182 at Gexa Energy Pavilion

For those who came of age in the early 2000s, it feels downright strange to not only still be talking about Blink-182, but also considering them as elder statesmen — these are the guys who once mocked the Backstreet Boys, and they’re relevant? Ah, but pop-punk is one of music’s endlessly renewable resources, and Blink-182, which took a break from 2005-2009, has endured because of its influence on any number of current favorites (Paramore and opener A Day to Remember, among others, are faithful disciples). The lineup is a little different than its last time through town: Matt Skiba, of Alkaline Trio, has replaced Tom DeLonge, and the revamped trio is riding high on the success of its latest LP, California. With All-American Rejects.

7 p.m. Friday. Gexa Energy Pavilion, Dallas. $37-$140.

Guns N’ Roses at AT&T Stadium

It has been 25 years since Axl Rose, Slash, Duff McKagan and Dizzy Reed, performing as Guns N’ Roses, last stood on a North Texas stage (a two-night stint in July 1991 at Dallas’ then-Starplex Amphitheatre). The ensuing two decades and change saw plenty of turbulence, as Rose and his bandmates fought bitterly and embarked on independent projects of varying success, only to reconcile late last year to launch the aptly titled “Not in This Lifetime” tour, which has, thus far, elicited favorable reviews from critics. Even if nothing comes from the tour beyond a burnishing of GNR’s formidable legacy, perhaps that will have been enough. With the Cult.

8 p.m. Wednesday. AT&T Stadium, Arlington. $30-$250.
