Leon Bridges has kept a busy schedule this spring, crisscrossing the country performing at sold-out theaters and festivals.

This past weekend, when weather threatened to derail his set at the Sasquatch! Music Festival in George, Washington, he was undeterred. Enlisting vocalist Brittni Jessie, Bridges decamped to the lawn, where he treated those gathered nearby to an impromptu acoustic performance, showcasing his road-tested chops on tracks like River as the sun set behind him.

It was yet another goose-bump moment in a career that has, thus far, been filled with ‘em.

Closer to home, Bridges is returning to Fort Worth June 29 to present a screening of the Squarespace-sponsored, Danny Clinch-directed mini-documentary This Is Home.

Bridges will be on hand at Shipping & Receiving on Fort Worth’s Near Southside, and will perform an “intimate stripped-down set,” per a press release, following the screening. Net proceeds from the tickets, which are $25, will benefit the Texas Council on Family Violence. Tickets go on sale at noon Friday via Shipping & Receiving’s website.
