DFW arts preview: A mighty fine ’15
In the Chinese zodiac, 2015 will be the Year of the Sheep. There’s nothing sheepish about the year’s local arts calendar, though, which is brimming with bold programming choices (check out Stage West’s season) and new works (look at Texas Ballet Theater and Amphibian Stage Productions).
You’ll also notice a growing trend of performing arts festivals, including two new entries from The Cliburn, a major international event from Dallas Symphony Orchestra, and the second year for such Dallas events as the Dallas Solo Fest and Dallas DanceFest.
Get your calendar ready. Here’s a look ahead at performing arts in 2015 — as far as seasons have been announced. As always, it’s not comprehensive and leaves off a lot on the eastern half of the Metroplex. Check your favorite venues and organizations’ calendars for their performance dates.
