Stars and Stripes film festival announces lineup

The military-themed Stars and Stripes Film Festival, scheduled for the Angelika Film Center in Dallas Nov. 12-15, has announced its lineup.

Set to show are Patton, Last Days in Vietnam, A Good Job: Stories of the FDNY, The Bridges at Toko-Ri, Windtalkerss, Zero Dark Thirty, We Were Soldiers, Memphis Belle, Max, and In Defense of Freedom, a documentary about Highland Park High School vets.

There will also be guests including General Tommy Franks at the kickoff luncheon and George Patton’s grandson, Pat Waters, who will speak after the showing of the film about his grandfather.

Admission is $15 per film. Angelika Film Center is at 5321 E. Mockingbird Lane, Dallas. For more information, go to sonsoftheflag.com.
