Tanya Tucker at Billy Bob’s Texas
Well before Miranda Lambert and Kacey Musgraves were setting Nashville ablaze, another strong Texan woman was turning Music City upside down. Seminole native Tanya Tucker, who had her first hit, Delta Dawn, at the tender age of 13, caused quite the controversy in the 1970s, thanks to hits like Would You Lay With Me (In a Field of Stone), and ultimately found herself labeled part of the “outlaw country” movement. Tucker’s powerful voice has been documented on a wealth of live albums, including a contribution to the Live at Billy Bob’s Texas series, which was released a decade ago this September.
10:30 p.m. Saturday. Billy Bob’s Texas, Fort Worth. $12-$28.
