Diplo among the headliners at Fort Worth’s Fortress Festival

DJ and record producer Diplo, R&B singer Miguel, singer-songwriter Cuco, and Mississippi rapper Big K.R.I.T. will headline the fourth annual Fortress Festival in the Cultural District.

The two-day music festival is returning April 25 and 26.

The full lineup also includes Sharon Van Etten, Kero Kero Bonito, The Free Nationals, Wet, and Combo Chimbita.

As usual, Fortress Festival is pairing national touring acts with local talent. North Texas hip-hop artists Snow Tha Product, Kaash Paige, Rakim Al-Jabaar, Renizance, and Smoothvega are all on board this year. Talented young songwriters Remy Reilly and Tippy Balady also made the list, along with Rosegarden Funeral Party, Kwinton Gray Project, Son of Stan, and Prizm.

A partnership with Fortress Presents and the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, Fortress Festival will again take place on the lawn adjacent to Will Rogers Coliseum with two stages.

Two-day general admission tickets are now on sale for the “early bird” price of $89. “VIP passes” are $209 and the festival is now offering a “platinum VIP ticket” for $399.

A smaller music festival featuring critically acclaimed acts like Run the Jewels, Flying Lotus, and Slowdive in its first two years, Fortress Festival hit pay dirt last year by bringing Leon Bridges home. Attendance was 7,000 on both days, a 50% increase from the previous year.
