Cliburn announces 2015-2016 concert lineup

The 2015-16 Cliburn Concerts series will feature opera stars and local composers along with its usual slate of world-class pianists and other renowned musicians, the Cliburn Foundation announced today.

Concerts will take place at three venues: Bass Hall, the Kimbell Art Museum and the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, beginning in September. Here is a quick look at the season.

Cliburn at the Bass

Oct. 6: Marc-Andre Hamelin, piano

Jan. 19: Yefim Bronfman, piano

April 5: Garrick Ohlsson, piano

Cliburn at the Kimbell

Oct. 22: Rising Stars of the Metropolitan Opera

Nov. 12: Alessio Bax, piano

Feb. 4: Alisa Weilerstein, cello, and Inon Barnatan, piano

Cliburn at the Modern

Sept. 19: “Made in Fort Worth” with Martin Blessinger and Till Meyn, composers

Feb. 13: Ben Moore, composer
