Josh Halverson at the Live Oak Music Hall & Lounge

The just-concluded season of the popular singing competition The Voice provided the country with a glimpse of the talent packed into North Texas: Fort Worth’s Austin Allsup made it to the top 10, with fellow local artists like Simone Gundy, Dana Harper and Josh Halverson making strong showings. The Denton-based troubadour Halverson will help celebrate the holiday season with an intimate performance — dubbed “Josh Halverson’s Christmas Brunch” — at one of the finest listening rooms in the area.

1 p.m. Sunday. Live Oak Music Hall & Lounge, Fort Worth. $10.

Kacey Musgraves at Billy Bob’s Texas

East Texas-bred singer-songwriter Kacey Musgraves has been a familiar sight on DFW stages over the course of 2016: She kicked off the year with a crackling set at Dallas’ Majestic Theatre, followed by a spirited showcase at the State Fair of Texas (where Musgraves shared the stage with the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders). To close out the year, Musgraves returns to North Texas for her second appearance at Billy Bob’s Texas in as many years, delivering a bit of holiday cheer with her “Very Kacey Christmas” tour.

9 p.m. Wednesday. Billy Bob’s Texas, Fort Worth. $20-$50.
