Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Are Officially Married After 3 Years Together

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce officially got married in the wedding of the century.

Swift and Kelce, both 36, said "I do" in a star-studded ceremony held at New York City's Madison Square Garden on Friday, July 3. Just after the pair exchanged vows, digital billboards outside the venue read, "JusT&T Married."

Kelce first tried to meet Swift at one of her Kansas City, Missouri, Eras Tour concerts in July 2023. After he failed to give her a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it, he publicly expressed his disappointment on his and brother Jason Kelce's "New Heights" podcast later that month. Swift ultimately reached out to Travis after several mutual friends vouched for him.

"There were definitely people she knew that knew who I was, in her corner [who said]: Yo! Did you know he was coming?" he recalled to WSJ. Magazine in November 2023. "I had somebody playing Cupid."

In September 2023, Swift sent fans into a frenzy when she attended her first Kansas City Chiefs game in support of Travis amid rumors that the two were dating. They confirmed their relationship the following month when they were spotted showing PDA in New York City.

"This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell," Swift told TIME in December 2023, adding that the pair "started hanging out right after that."

"We actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I'm grateful for, because we got to get to know each other," she continued. "By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple. I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date."

Although Swift and Travis quickly became the most high-profile couple in the world, he insisted in his September 2025 GQ cover story that they have learned how to handle the attention.

"Whenever I'm with her, it feels like we're just regular people," he said. "When there is not a camera on us, we're just two people that are in love. It can be perceived as something else because of how much it is talked about and how much we are tracked whenever we do go out, but I would say that it's as normal of … It happened very organically even though from a media standpoint it was being tracked."

He added: "When I say it was so organic, we fell in love just based off the people we were sitting in a room together with. We are two fun-loving people who have the morals to appreciate everyone for who they are. We share all those values. It kind of just took the f*** off."

The next major step in their relationship came in August 2025 when Swift and Travis announced their engagement after two years of dating.

"Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨," the couple captioned a joint Instagram post that showed him down on one knee and her debuting the old mine brilliant cut diamond ring he picked out for her.

"Travis is incredibly thoughtful. He had a clear vision of what he wanted," a source exclusively told Us Weekly of the bauble designed by Kindred Lubeck at Artifex Fine Jewelry. "He chose it almost entirely on his own. He knows her so well and what she likes - a timeless, classic, vintage touch."
