Music Icon Alanis Morissette Hits the Red Carpet and Hasn't Aged a Day Since She Hit It Big in the ‘90s

She may have risen to music stardom in the '90s, but Alanis Morissette hasn't aged a day.

The music icon, 52, skyrocketed to fame in the '90s with hit songs like "You Oughta Know," "Hand in my Pocket," and "Ironic" from her 1995 album Jagged Little Pill. She didn't stop there, however: Morissette's follow-up album, 1998's Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie, scored her a Grammy for the song "Thank U." In the years that followed, Morissette has continued her rock domination, releasing albums and touring. However, she received a major honor this week when she was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame at their 55th Annual Induction and Awards Gala at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City. While it's been over 30 years since Jagged Little Pill pushed her to international superstardom, the rocker hit the red carpet and proved she hasn't aged a day in the decades that passed.

Morissette Will Perform at the World Cup

The Canadian queen is honoring her home country this weekend as she kicks off the FIFA 2026 football World Cup. She'll perform on Friday, June 12, at the Canadian opening ceremony along with Michael Bublé, Alessia Cara, Jessie Reyez, William Prince, Sanjoy, Nora Fatehi, Elyanna, and Vegedream. The show stars at 10:30 am PT / 1:30 pm ET, 90 minutes before the game kicks off. The festivities will air on Fox in the US and CTV in Canada, Louder confirmed.

Looking Back on 30 Years Since Jagged Little Pill

While Morissette was just a young rocker when Jagged Little Pill debuted in 1995, she's seen the album continue to resonate with fans over the last three decades. She recently shared that she's still tremendously proud of the songs, which continue to be favorites for diverse audiences.

"It is fortuitous that most if not all of my songs are ones that I can still stand behind. I can sing them with conviction because the value system has not changed," she shared, Parade previously reported. The only one that could do with an update is ‘Not the Doctor,' as I hadn't been married for 16 years yet. Now I know that we do, in fact, participate in each other's healing."
