The Eagles’ final night in Dallas-Fort Worth is a two-hour greatest hits show

The Eagles’ alleged final tour is a race through most, but not all, of the considerable collection of hits amassed by the group, as well as solo tracks by Don Henley and Joe Walsh.

On Saturday night at Globe Life Field in Arlington, the band that formed in 1971 played what is scheduled to be their final show ever in DFW, as part of their “The Long Goodbye Act III.”

“It’s good to be home,” Texas native and Eagles founding member Don Henley told the audience. He promised the band would not talk much, but would deliver a two-hour show full of hits.

“Because we can,” he said.

They easily could have played three hours.
