RV parks, RV campgrounds: What’s the difference?
There is a difference between RV parks, and RV campgrounds. Campgrounds offers a more rustic experience, not always providing hookups for water and electricity. An RV Park offers all the hookups, and an RV resort has hookups and amenities.
A vintage trailer hotel is the experience of staying in a trailer without having to own one. Often these hotel trailers offer updated amenities tailored to make guests more comfortable.

So, where can you find these getaway spots in Texas?
The USA Today list of RV friendly campgrounds has Camp Fimfo Texas Hill Country, in New Braunfels, ranked at No. 3. Camp Fimfo is an RV resort with options for full hookups that come with a concrete pad, charcoal grill, firepit and picnic table. “Amenities include hot tubs, a miniature golf course, and an interactive water playground,” according to USA Today.

Trailing not far behind at No. 6 is Jellystone Park in Burleson. This RV resort is very similar with full hookups and amenities, only 15 miles from Fort Worth. Its location is within walking distance from many activities in town.

As far as vintage trailer hotels, Texas makes the list at No. 9 with Lake Bastrop North Shore Park in Bastrop. This is an RV Park but is also tent-camper friendly and offers five airstream trailers for guests to rent. “Each sleeps up to four people and includes air conditioning, a private bathroom, kitchen, and a grill,” according to USA Today.
