Want to be an extra on Jesus TV show ‘The Chosen’ in North Texas? Here’s how to apply

A television show about the life of Jesus is seeking extras for filming in North Texas.

“The Chosen” is shooting its fourth season following the life of Jesus Christ and the people whose lives he changed. The show is the first multi-season series based on the Bible’s Jesus Christ.

Company Brock Allen Casting is looking for background extras for scenes in Midlothian, about 30 minutes southwest of Fort Worth. The filming dates are Tuesday and Wednesday.

The company is looking for men aged 30 years and older with dark hair and eyes, dark/olive skin tone and beards. The daily rate for extras is $100 for 10 hours of work, plus overtime if needed. Travel and lodging will not be provided.

To submit for the casting, send the following to thechosenbacasting@gmail.com with the subject heading of “Pharisee”:

  • Full name and contact details
  • Height, weight and clothing sizes
  • Two clear, recent and color photos (selfie and full length) of yourself with current facial hair
  • City you reside in and availability for both dates

“The Chosen” first premiered in 2017, followed by subsequent seasons in 2021 and 2022. Along with Midlothian, the show has also filmed in nearby Weatherford.

The first two seasons of “The Chosen” are available to stream on Amazon Prime Video, while season 3 is on the show’s website.
