Didn’t get tickets to see Metallica in Arlington this August? Head to the movie theater
Missed out on a ticket for Metallica’s two-night stand at AT&T Stadium in Arlington this August? You’re in luck. The band announced Thursday both shows in Arlington will be livestreamed to movie theaters across the globe. The two nights in Arlington are the only Texas stops on the band’s M72 World Tour.
“We are partnering with the stellar team at Trafalgar Releasing to bring the M72 World Tour to your hometown movie theater,” the band wrote in a Thursday press release. “That’s right - two nights with two completely different setlists, including songs spanning all 40+ years of Metallica, from ‘Kill ‘Em All’ up through tomorrow’s release, ‘72 Seasons.’ We won’t play a single song twice, making more than 30 unique songs across both nights.”
Trafalgar Releasing is a movie events company that has released concert films in partnership with artists like BTS, Billie Eilish and Coldplay.
Tickets are still available for the livestreams. You can find out more information at Metallica’s website here. If you don’t live in Texas, screening times will be adjusted to fit your time zone.
The world tour was announced on the heels of Metallica’s new single, “Lux Æterna,” released last November. The band’s new album, “72 Seasons,” was released in April.
Metallica last came to Texas in November 2021, when the band played a 16-song, nearly two-hour show before, during and after a Triad Combat event at Globe Life Field. Metallica last played AT&T Stadium in June 2017.
