Tim McGraw and Faith Hill to perform in Arlington, and other events for your weekend

From Friday to Sunday a variety of events and activities are taking place in the Fort Worth area. Watch prehistoric creatures come to life on the stage or watch professional bull riders from around the globe compete.

Dinosaur World Live

  • When: March 4-5
  • Where: Downtown Cowtown at the Isis Theater, 2401 N Main St., Fort Worth

Kick off the weekend with this family-friendly show featuring life-like puppetry of prehistoric creatures including Segnosaurus, Triceratops and Tyrannosaurus Rex. One showing will be Friday night at 5 p.m. and two more will be on Saturday at 10 a.m. and noon.

The Music of John Williams

  • When: March 4-6
  • Where: Bass Performance Hall, 525 Commerce St., Fort Worth

The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra will perform recognizable works by John Williams, who has composed and conducted music for major motion pictures such as “Star Wars,” the Indiana Jones films, “Jaws,” the Harry Potter movies and “Jurassic Park.” Performances on Friday and Saturday will be at 7:30 p.m. and another performance on Sunday will be at 2 p.m.

Goat Yoga Fort Worth!

  • When: March 5, 2:30-3:30 p.m.
  • Where: Victory Forest Community Center, 3427 Hemphill St., Fort Worth
  • Cost: $32, $20 children ages 5-12

This outdoor, bring-your-own-mat event is for ages 5 and older — children must be accompanied by an adult. Participants will have an extra opportunity to interact with the goats and take photos after the class. Ticket sales end Saturday.

Sankofa Reading Circle: The 1619 Project

Local Fort Worth bookstore The Dock Bookshop is hosting a reading circle of the book “The 1619 Project” by author Nikole Hannah-Jones. Event facilitators will include Rickie Clark, My Brother’s Keeper executive director, and The Dock Bookshop co-owner Donya Craddok.

PBR Global Cup USA

  • When: March 5, 5:45 p.m.
  • Where: AT&T Stadium, 1 AT&T Way, Arlington

Watch world premier bull riding as six teams from five countries — the United States, Australia, Brazil, Canada and Mexico — compete in Arlington on Friday night. This one-night event will include two rounds of competition to win the title of “Toughest Nation on Dirt,” according to a release.

The American Rodeo featuring Tim McGraw and Faith Hill

  • When: March 6, noon
  • Where: AT&T Stadium, 1 AT&T Way, Arlington

The American Rodeo, an annual event held at AT&T Stadium, gives rodeo athletes the chance to compete for the biggest single-day paycheck of their careers. The event will also feature a live concert performed by Grammy Award winning musicians, and “1883” stars, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill.
