Queso, queso & more queso: Super Bowl snack of champions. Here’s 5 easy game-day recipes

Best queso ever

Perhaps it comes as no surprise to football fans in the heart of Texas that queso and chips was the top vote-getter in the Star-Telegram’s unofficial poll this week of all things delicious (and unhealthy) for Super Bowl party spreads.

With 62% of votes, queso edged out chicken wings (55%) and salsa (41%). Guacamole surprisingly came in fifth with 27%. And seven layer dip got just over 20% of votes.

So, queso is the champion.

That said, here are a few recipes, courtesy of H-E-B, to make for your own Super Bowl party on Sunday when the Los Angeles Rams and the Cincinnati Bengals square off for the national championship.

Thanks to all who voted in our poll.
