SPCA invites North Texas community to horse and livestock farm for Halloween event
The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals of Texas will open up its Russell H. Perry Equine and Livestock Center to visitors Saturday for its annual Halloween-themed fall fundraiser, working to raise money and awareness for its equine and livestock department.
The event, which costs $20 to attend, will include hayrides, photo stations, face painting, games and chances to meet the horses and livestock that live at the ranch.
The SPCA will use the funds and awareness raised to benefit the organization’s work to rescue horses and livestock that have been abused or faced cruelty as well as those surrendered by owners. The animals are rehabilitated and trained on the ranch so they can be sent to good homes.
The ranch is located at 8411 Stacy Road in McKinney.
