Rolling Stones tour, including Cotton Bowl show, postponed because of coronavirus
The Rolling Stones have postponed their upcoming No Filter tour of North America because of the coronavirus outbreak.
The promoters AEG Presents and Concerts West, along with the band, announced the postponement in a press release Tuesday.
The 15-date tour was scheduled to hit the Cotton Bowl in Dallas on May 29. The tour was set to begin May 8 in San Diego and end in Atlanta on July 9. The tour was playing Austin May 24.
Ticketholders are advised to hold onto their original tickets and wait for more information on new dates and potential refunds.
“We’re hugely disappointed to have to postpone the tour,” the Stones said in the release. “We are sorry to all the fans who were looking forward to it as much as we were, but the health and safety of everyone has to take priority. We will all get through this together — and we’ll see you very soon.”
Most concert tours scheduled in the next few months have been postponed in the wake of the outbreak, including Pearl Jam’s spring tour. Chris Stapleton postponed his current tour, including a date at Globe Life Field scheduled for March 14.
