2 It’s always a special night when Willie comes to Cowtown. The elder statesman of Texas music brings his longtime tour band — the Family — to Fort Worth’s ginormous honky-tonk, Billy Bob’s Texas, for a show at 10:30 p.m. Friday (doors open at 6 p.m.). Augustin Hadelich in concert

3 Love the intimate experience of a chamber music concert? Violinist Augustin Hadelich, the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra’s artistic partner, will perform on the stage of the Kimbell Art Museum’s Renzo Piano Pavilion with a handful of the orchestra’s musicians, including concertmaster Michael Shih, at 7 p.m. Tuesday. ‘Irving Berlin’s White Christmas’

Superhero Science Saturday

6 Kids can dust off their superhero Halloween costumes for this event (leave the masks at home, though) that’s built around hands-on activities and STEM education at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History. They’ll learn about nanotechnology and robotics. It’s 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday. Batman will be there, 1:30-3 p.m., as well as everyday heroes such as scientists, firefighters and police officers. 9 The pumpkin village is gone, replaced by galaxies of holiday lights at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden. The DeGolyer House will be chock-full of nutcrackers — more than 800 of them. The gazebos on the grounds will depict each day of the famous Christmas carol, so don’t forget the camera. Tickets are $20, $15 seniors and $10 kids.
