Festivals and concerts are abundant in 2023, and another one has been added on to the already-extensive list. New York radio station HOT 97 announced that its annual Summer Jam is back in the state for the first time in nearly two decades. Cardi B, a New York-native herself, is this year’s headliner.

HOT 97’s Summer Jam is leaning into the female emcees that are dominating the charts and social media. In addition to the “Up” rapper, Revolt reports that the roster of performers include Ice Spice, GloRilla, Coi Leray and Lola Brooke. French Montana, Fivio Foreign, and Lil Tjay are also part of this year’s lineup.

“The show is all about bringing hip hop’s biggest stars to the stage, and we are honored to have New York’s own Cardi B as our headliner this year,” said TT Torrez, HOT 97 on-air personality and VP of artist and label relations. “I am so proud of the strong female presence in our lineup, which represents women’s dominance over the airwaves this year.”

The concert – which takes place June 4 at the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York – will also feature a tribute performance honoring 50 years of hip-hop by The LOX. Preshow kickoff events will also feature NLE Choppa, 2Rare, Sha EK, McVertt, TQ and Kenzo B.

“HOT 97’s Summer Jam is a hip hop staple, and we are excited to bring the most electric show of the summer back to New York for hip hop’s 50th anniversary,” said Bradford Tobin, president, chief operating officer, and general counsel for Summer Jam.

If you’ve packed your schedule this summer with live music, you might want to double check to see if you can squeeze in another show. Presale tickets went on sale April 3, but all passes will be available for purchase starting Saturday, April 8 at 10 a.m.
