Perfect Pineapple Wraps

This original head wrap was created by Charron Martin in her grandmother’s basement. Located in Cleveland, the store also sells bandanas, scrunchies, and traditional wraps for those with textured hair. The website also has several instructional videos that detail ways to tie the wrap for folks with tightly coiled hair, long hair or no hair at all.

KSM Candle Company

Owner of KSM Candle Company, Letta started her business in Baltimore after working as a marketing director in real estate. Made exclusively out of soy products, her candles are perfect for the eco-conscious consumer. Don’t worry about not being able to sniff them either if you can’t make it to Baltimore. The website goes into detail about the scents of each candle with descriptions of the top, middle and base notes. Letta’s product lines don’t stop at candles either. She now sells diffusers, self-care products and even smudge sticks and incense. Orders over $30 qualify for free shipping.

Kindred Stories

Located in Houston, this store sells books by primarily Black and Brown authors. From comic books and graphic novels to cook books and audiobooks, the store promotes every kind of storytelling as long as it’s from the perspective of the African diaspora. Pre-order popular books or buy a gift card for someone special. The company’s online shop has a more extensive selection of products.

Paisley Paper Company

Need the perfect Christmas card for someone who likes to journal? Check out this women-owned Black business for original designs. Based in Detroit, the company’s founder and owner Andrea Williams is a graphic designer by trade. For friends or family who might want invitations for an upcoming event, this is the perfect store from which to snag a gift card.

Just Add Honey Tea Company

Over in Atlanta, a group of tea lovers got together in 2006 to start a company with signature blends of tea for everyone. Today, they sell a variety of teas from caffeinated black teas to herbal, fruity teas to wellness herbs like turmeric and dandelion. For those that don’t want instant bags, they also have teapots and loose leaf teas. Shop in store or online with shipping nationwide.

Men PA’W

Put hot sauce in your bag. Creator Carline Phanor arrived in South Florida from Haiti in 1991 after political unrest forced her departure from the island. Her six hot sauces bring the heat with blends from five exotic peppers. In 2013, the sauces won third place at The Hot Pepper Awards with a heat akin in rating to habanero peppers. When purchasing online, sauces can be combined into three packs or sold separately.

Dog and Whistle

Need something for your fluffy friend? Dog and Whistle produces high-quality dog treats and food from 100% unused natural foods to combat food waste. The company’s founder and CEO, Eric Adams, thought of the idea after working in the food industry and seeing all the food that was wasted every night. Adams was on the second season of Bet on Black on Revolt TV for his company. Based out of Las Vegas, purchases over $30 ship for free.
