For reasons known only to higher powers, they poured into the MGM Grand Arena on Friday afternoon by thousands. And they just kept coming in to watch an event that makes the NFL Draft look like a high-paced action movie.
One day before their highly-anticipated megafight, the public paid $10 each to watch Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao stand on a scale to be weighed.
For the record, Mayweather weighed in at 146 pounds. Pacman at 145.
Only Vegas could turn absolutely nothing into a three-hour event. This thing lasted three hours. How long does it take you to stand on a scale and realize, “Why, God, did I stand on this piece of junk?”

This was my first prize fight weigh-in and it was reality TV garbage that was impossible to turn off.
The unmistakable buzz and electricty currently running through the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino was amped considerably inside the arena. This wasn’t even the fight.
