It’s been quite a horse racing year for Exaggerator.
And it’s not over yet.
Exaggerator won the Santa Anita Derby, finished second in the Kentucky Derby, won the Preakness Stakes then dipped to 11th in the Belmont Stakes.
He bounced back with a win in the Haskell Invitational in July and is now in the mix for the Breeders’ Cup, which will be held Nov. 4 and 5 at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, Calif.
Exaggerator, co-owned by the families of Matt Bryan of Flower Mound and Ronny Ortowski of Fort Worth, will compete in the $6 million Breeders’ Cup Classic on Nov. 5. The Classic, run at 1 1/4 miles, draws the top international thoroughbreds and is open to horses 3-years-old and older and is limited to 14 starters.
